💡 WHY IPL?

Your quiz responses told us that:

• You’re looking to correct uneven tone or pigmentation

• You want real results, without aggressive treatments

• You prefer a non-invasive approach that still works

IPL (Intense Pulsed Light) is one of our most effective options for visible results after just a few sessions—and it’s one of Angie’s favorite tools for brightening and evening skin.

WHAT IT’S GREAT FOR

• Sun damage and age spots

• Broken capillaries and redness

• Freckles, melasma, and hyperpigmentation

• Overall brightening and skin clarity

How IPL Works:

Let’s be honest—if someone told you that flashes of light could repair your skin, it might sound like marketing fluff. But it’s real, and here’s why.

We already know that sunlight damages skin. UV rays trigger pigment overproduction, break down collagen, and cause visible signs of aging like sunspots and redness. IPL (Intense Pulsed Light) works in the opposite direction—with controlled, targeted light that helps your skin heal.

IPL uses a broad spectrum of light, not a laser, to treat visible irregularities. Here’s what happens during treatment:

What happens during IPL treatment:

• Targeted light energy enters your skin and is absorbed by pigment, redness, or dilated vessels—anything darker or redder than your normal skin tone.

• That pigment is gently heated, breaking it apart into microscopic fragments that your body naturally flushes out in the days that follow.

• At the same time, the heat stimulates your dermis—the layer beneath the surface—triggering collagen production, which firms and smooths your skin over time.

You can think of it like this: Sunlight scatters collagen and leaves behind pigment. IPL is focused light that clears pigment and helps rebuild collagen.

IPL is DA-cleared and supported by clinical research for treating discoloration, vascular lesions, and photoaging. It’s been widely used in dermatology for over two decades and continues to be one of the most effective non-invasive skin treatments available.

WHAT TO EXPECT

“Many clients describe it as a fresh start for their skin.”

🧼 Do I need to prepare?
Avoid sun exposure and self-tanner for 5 to 7 days before your appointment. Skip active skincare like retinoids or acids for 3 days prior. Arrive with clean skin, free of makeup or SPF.

🌞 Will I be sensitive after?
Most people leave with only a healthy glow. Some pigment may darken temporarily before fading. Just wear SPF and avoid intense sun for a few days.

🔁 Can I combine IPL with other treatments?
Yes, IPL can be safely combined with treatments like microneedling or skin tightening. Angie will advise based on your skin and timing.

⏳ How soon will I see results?
Many people notice improvements in tone and clarity within a week. Deeper results—like fading pigmentation or broken capillaries—may take multiple sessions to fully resolve.

🧬 Is this permanent, or will the pigment come back?
The pigment removed by IPL won’t return—but new spots can appear from future sun exposure. Wearing SPF daily is the best way to protect your results long-term.

💬 Can I talk to Angie before I commit?
Absolutely. You’re welcome to call or text Angie directly at (626) 704-7114 with questions before booking. There’s no pressure and no obligation—just honest guidance.
